3. Winter walks with family and friends

Enjoy a walk this January or February and admire the stark beauty of the gardens in wintertime. In the Pleasure Grounds, keep an eye out for winter aconites, hellebores and early daffodils which may be just starting to appear and enjoy rarely visible views across Aylesbury Vale before the trees come into leaf. Down Baron Ferdinand’s walk, see swathes of snowdrops along the path. It’s a great time for those interested in photography, exploring, getting fit or simply for spending time with loved ones. Make sure you check our winter opening hours before travelling to us. See our walking routes here>

4. Tuck into Fish & Chips

Head to the Stables to enjoy freshly-made fish & chips, available for eat-in or takeaway! Until Jan 22.

5. Go on an Eythrope Parkland tour

Eythrope Snowdrops

On 15, 16, 17 February, we are running Eythrope Parkland Tours, followed by a two-course lunch at the Five Arrows Hotel. The woodland garden at Eythrope was developed from informal pleasure grounds in the mid-18th century. Alice de Rothschild made improvements to the garden, adding the boathouse, ornamental rock work and influencing the planting schemes including the Snowdrops. More recently spring bulbs and winter flowering shrubs have been added to create a truly inspiring winter walk. Book now >
