Behind The Scenes Tour At The Aviary

AviaryJoin us at the introductory “meet the Keeper talk” at the Aviary and then follow us for special behind the scenes access to see all that is involved with the running of a modern zoological collection at the Aviary.
Discussions about diet preparation, hand rearing and incubation at our facilities before we have a short 10-minute walk to our off-show breeding facility where we have our creche / hospital and house our more nervous species. There will be plenty of opportunities for some great photos that we encourage everyone to take. We will be finishing this tour at the stables café.
Past tours have included hand rearing demonstrations though this is dependent on the birds.
Please be advised:
- In wet weather, Miss Alice’s Drive can be muddy, suitable shoes are advised
- This tour is not wheelchair accessible
