Step in to the world of sound and light with the Celestial Sound Cloud in the Coach House

From 29 May until 2 June, children get free entry to the house and grounds at Waddesdon!

Celestial Sound Cloud is an interactive digital sound and light sculpture inspired by cosmic clouds and nebulas – the clouds of dust and gases in which stars are formed.  Its beautiful mirrored and infinite looping form is suspended elusively and tantalisingly in its environment – stunning by day or night.

The piece provokes the audience of strangers to come together and learn to interact with the sculpture and one another by singing, moving and dancing underneath creating their own visual experience and soundscape. When the audience move beneath eye sensors hidden in the cloud, they will activate one part of a vocal harmony and a special light moment. Audience can trigger up to 5 movement sensors interacting with the cloud and dancing to play it like an instrument.
