Join us for spooky activities and family fun with our haunted Half Term this October

Best of all? From 21 October until 29 October, children get free entry to the house and grounds at Waddesdon!

Take part in a fact filled Trick or Treat Skeleton Trail. Join Zoolab for their Creepy Critters show learning about some spooky and gruesome animals and insects or just sit back and relax in the powerhouse with some classic family Halloween films or try your luck at a vintage game.

Trick or Treat with a twist. Make your way around the grounds and spot our spooky skeletons enjoying their day out. Can you work out if the skeleton facts are trick (false) or treat (true)?

When you’ve finished check your answers before collecting your delicious sweet treat prize.

Sat 21 – Sun 29 Oct 2023, £3 per trail (we recommend one trail per child). The trail runs from 10am – 4pm, last trail entry is 3.30pm and prizes are available to collect until 4pm

Zoolab (Sold out)

21 & 22 Oct

Get up close and hands on with exotic animals in a Creepy Critters show by Zoolab in the Powerhouse. You will be introduced to a host of their animals including the likes of Snakes, Lizards, Tarantulas and much more as they tell you all about the spooky, gruesome facts. We’ll be talking all about Venoms, Poisons, Slime, Webs, Fangs, Claws and even some history of how some of these animals were a part of potions and remedies back in the day. These fun interactive shows are suitable for all ages and the perfect fit for some Spooky Halloween fun.

Show times: 11.00am, 11.55am, 12.50pm, 2.20pm & 3.15pm

A small event charge applies to this event and pre booking is advised.

Dress the part this Halloween. What will you be? A witch? A Cat? A Vampire?

Pumpkins

A wide  range of Waddesdon’s own pumpkins and gourds, grown and harvested from the gardens at Eythrope will be on sale. Pick your pumpkin and take them home to get your carving creations stated.  Prices from £3 – £5 prices vary dependant on size.
