Visit Waddesdon

Built over a century ago, this unique French Renaissance-style château was once the country home of the Rothschild's. Located in the Chilterns, Waddesdon was designed to surprise and delight, a tradition which continues for visitors today.

Grounds Wed-Sun, 10am-5pm (last entry 4pm)

House Wed-Sun, 11am-4.30pm (last entry 3.20pm)

There’s so much to enjoy on a visit to Waddesdon. Step inside the richly decorated interiors and discover an astonishing collection of art including rare Sèvres porcelain and paintings by Gainsborough and Reynolds.

Outside, explore landscaped grounds with beautiful displays, unusual plants and historic statues and see rare birds in the Aviary. Families can enjoy the Woodland Playground and our free children’s trail in the house. There are also tours, talks and wine tastings running regularly.
