Panelling in the West Gallery consisting of two half-columns from the Palais-Royal, 1753-1755, by Pierre Lange (acc. nos 3580.1-2). Several panels from the hôtel d'Humières (unattrib.), including 2 mirrors, mirror frames and over-mirror panels with allegories of Sciences and Music, c 1720 (acc. nos 3580.2.1-2); as well as panels dating from 1717-20 and 1715-1720 (acc. nos 3580.3.1-4, 3580.4.1-2), and two overdoors with allegories of Love, c 1720 (acc. nos 3580.5.1-2). Panels, c 1705-1710, from the hôtel Le Bas de Montargis, probably by a workshop of the Bâtiments du Roi, mounted on four 19th C double doors (acc. nos 3580.6.1-4). Several panels with unknown provenance including three overdoor frames for paintings, 1700-1725 with additions (acc. nos 3580.7.1-3); panels, c 1720-1735 (1 a 19th C copy) (acc. nos 3580.8.1-5); panel, 1695-1715 (acc. no. 3580.9); and a mirror frame, c 1700?, possibly designed by Jean Berain I (acc. no. 3581.3). Finally 1882-1883 wall panels, over-window panels and dado panels to complete the room (acc. nos 3580.10.1-6, 3580.11).

- Panelling from the Palais-Royal made for Louise Henriette de Bourbon-Conti (b.1726, d.1759), sold after 1871; panelling from the hôtel d'Humières, 88 rue de Lille, made for Louis d'Aumont, duc de Humières (b.1671, d.1751); panelling from the hôtel Le Bas de Montargis, 7 place Vendôme, probably made for Claude Le Bas de Montargis (b.1659, d.1741); all acquired by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (b.1839, d.1898); inherited by his sister Alice de Rothschild (b.1847, d.1922); inherited by her great-nephew James de Rothschild (b.1878, d.1957); bequeathed to Waddesdon (National Trust) in 1957.
