One letter to Miss Alice de Rothschild, dated 1st April 1916 from J M Tuohy (to be confirmed). The letter provides interesting insight into the political situation in Europe during the period of the First World War.
There is note on the back of the second page written by Miss Alice to her gardener Johnson, which expresses her disagreement with the contents of the original letter. This is dated Sunday 2nd April 1916 at 2pm.
There are a further five similar letters written by Mr Tuohy(?) to Miss Alice de Rothschild contained in archive no 137.1997.2.
