Collection Search Help

Simple Search will search on Title, Artist/Maker, Object Types, Previous Owner (Provenance) and Accession Number. Enter one or more words.

Use Advanced Search for more specific enquiries. Click on the arrow to display all available terms for the field or begin typing and results matching the entered letters will display. Click on the desired term or repeat the process to choose more terms in the same field.

To search for a specific date, enter the same date in both the Earliest and Latest Date fields. This will retrieve objects with that date as well as objects which have been given a circa date five years either side of it.

You can search on combinations of fields but the more complicated your search, the less likely you are to get the information that you are looking for. We suggest that you search no more than two fields at a time.
