Wine CellarsEnjoy a relaxed and informative wine tasting, in our atmospheric Cellars with our wine experts, this informal wine tasting is ideal for novices and experts alike. Our team will guide you through a carefully curated selection of Rothschild and specialist guest wines.
You will be welcomed in the cellars by our wine team and have the opportunity to taste up to 8 wines from a specially curated flight. The team will be on hand to talk about the wines in as much or as little detail as you would like.
Wine has always been a focal point at Waddesdon. It was first served during Baron Ferdinand’s dinner parties in the 1880s. Today, we continue the tradition and take pride in housing the finest of the Rothschild wine portfolio in our cellars, spanning six continents and over 100 wines, including an exceptional collection of historic Rothschild claret dating back to 1868.
On the day information for those attending
- The Wine Cellars entrance is accessed via some steep stairs. If you will require assistance, or level access, please email enquiries@waddesdon.org.uk so we can organise this in advance of your visit
- No dress code is required
- This event is suitable for ages 18+. Please be aware that we will be operating a Challenge 25 policy
- This is a standing event with limited seating
- The duration of this wine tasting is 45 minutes
