Virtual tasting; an introduction to Rothschild Wine

Join us for a live virtual wine tasting in the cellars at Waddesdon Manor. Led by experts from Waddesdon’s wine team, Peter Tompkins Waddesdon’s Rothschild Wine Expert and Andrew Bloomer who spent three years running the wine department at Fortnum & Mason.

You will be guided through an interactive, informative and entertaining evening. Each household booking will receive four bottles of wine, as well as the tasting and technical notes, ideas for food pairings, tasting mats and the essential Waddesdon pencil to ensure you’ve everything you need for a successful tasting.

From the acquisition of Chateau Mouton Rothschild in 1853, through to the creation of Long Dai, their most recent purchase in China, the Rothschild wine portfolio has evolved and expanded encompassing three branches of this most famous wine-producing family. Today Rothschild wines are made in over 20 properties globally, across six different continents.

Let our experts treat you to stories exploring this unique collection, which explains why Waddesdon is such an important destination for wine lovers. The event will also include tips on how to taste wine, how to pair your favourite wines with certain dishes and offers participants the chance to ask questions of Waddesdon’s wine team.
