Turn up the heat at our annual Chilli festival taking place at Waddesdon this summer. With handpicked exhibitors, all passionate about chilli, the festival guarantees to bring you the best of local artisan producers as well as some of the nation’s best loved independent traders from across the country. Throughout the weekend, enjoy live music and entertainment, family fun and children’s activities as well as the opportunity to walk around the gardens.

The Bubble Wizard 

With his incredible ability to bring the magic out of bubbles, The Bubble Wizard will wow, thrill and amaze you!  

The Bubble Wizard will make bubbles as teeny as an ant or as large as an elephant. He’ll create breathtaking bubble sculptures before your very eyes, blow smoke magically into bubbles and put you, your friends and your kids and their uncles inside bubbles. And The Bubble Wizard’s greatest trick? Turning adults into children and children into happy children through the excitement and wonder of bubbles! 

HOT Junk Orchestra by Junkyard Orchestra 

Join the Junk Orchestra and find your summer groove in our Sound Garden. This vibrant collection of tuned percussion instruments, upcycled from city waste, returns as a sizzling hot orchestra, painted in chilli colours and tuned to a fiery scale. 

Families can drop in and play all day, relax, and soak up the good vibrations. 

Chilli Eating Competition

Do you have an iron stomach? Tastebuds with a tolerance? If so, why not put them to the test by entering our chilli eating competition held each day 

Clifton Chilli Club is a collective of experienced and knowledgeable people dedicated to the almighty chilli. Our backgrounds include catering, food production, adult education, chilli farming, entertainment, food writing and more. Since 2009 we have been involved in hundreds of festivals and events, providing services such as chilli eating contests, educational talks on a variety of chilli-based topics, cooking demonstrations and more.

Storm in a Teacup Circus

Try your hand at circus skills with Storm in a Teacup Circus in this fun, drop-in workshop! From juggling and plate spinning to hula hooping and diabolo, open to all ages and abilities. No experience needed – just come and give it a go! 

Junk Jamz Collective

An adult percussion group based in Aylesbury, UK, that makes music using everyday objects like buckets, bins, and tubs. The community-focused group welcomes absolute beginners alongside experienced players

Tuba Libres

Tuba Libres deliver a high-energy experience that’s not just about the notes, but the emotional journey they take you on. Forget all you know about what a brass band should be: this is an audio-visual extravaganza that invites you to dust off your itchy feet and join in the fun.

Rock Choir

The UK’s leading contemporary, award-winning choir experience. Rock Choir was the first organisation of its kind. Welcoming anyone, regardless of musical experience. It brings together people who love singing pop and contemporary songs, with the occasional emotional ballad too!

These curious creatures enthral and delight passers by as they dance, play and surprise in this fun, curiously unique, roaming street theatre dance show.

Giant Seagulls by Mike Rowan Enterprises 

These cheeky sea birds have had audiences in a flap all over the world. Giant cheeky gulls with working beaks, they’ll rummage in bags and pockets, steal food from plates and picnic baskets, squabble amongst themselves and generally cause a fuss.

Additional Information

Blue Badge and limited mobility parking is provided in the visitor car park. Wheelchairs are available to use on a first-come first-served basis. Dogs are welcome throughout the grounds, except in the Aviary. Assistance dogs are welcome across the site. Please note that local resident tickets apply to the villages on Waddesdon, Winchendon and Westcott only. Proof of residence with photo ID is required at the point of admission.

Please book carefully, tickets cannot be refunded. Please note that an event fee applies to all ticket holders, including National Trust members.

Please allow up to 20 minutes to park and have your tickets scanned at admission points. Parking is free of charge in the visitor car park. Shuttle bus tickets and premium parking (closer to the House) can be purchased separately.
