Education Group Membership

Get more out of a visit to Waddesdon with an Education Group Membership.

Education Group Membership allows education groups, including schools and home-schoolers, free entry to National Trust properties. Here at Waddesdon, there are a whole host of other benefits to enjoy too including FREE sessions, extra resources and the chance for your whole school to take part in all of our special projects throughout the year.

  • Free ticket to Christmas at Waddesdon for every child taking part in our Christmas display plus four half-price tickets for family and friends, details below
  • Priority booking to our ‘Gardens Week’ in June 2022. Gardens Week is a celebration of Miss Alice de Rothschild and her love of gardening. Your pupils will have the chance to enjoy a range of workshops from natural dyeing to Digging for Victory (additional charges may apply)

Bulb planting

Get involved with our special bulb planting sessions each autumn with on-site and virtual sessions. You’ll also have the chance to come back and see your school’s bulbs blossoming in spring.

Christmas at Waddesdon

Help create our annual Christmas art display, seen by the hundreds of thousands of visitors we welcome over the Christmas period.

Every child who takes part will receive a free ticket to Christmas at Waddesdon worth £9.75 and is also entitled to 4 half-price tickets for friends and family, saving up to £39.00.

Design a bed

Participate in our ‘Design a bed’ competition. Pupils will have the chance to design a garden bed for our Parterre. The winning design will be planted up by their school for all of our visitors to enjoy in summer 2022.

Cost

The price depends on the number of children on your school roll. Subscription covers one year from the month of joining.

Under 50 pupils £50
51-100 pupils £80
101-200 pupils £95
201-500 pupils £100
Over 500 pupils £120
Tertiary field of study £150

Membership is much better value than buying one-off entry, which is £14 per adult and £7 per pupil.

Schools Access Fund

If you are a local school based in Buckinghamshire, you are eligible to apply to our Schools Access Fund. Run by the Rothschild Foundation, this fund can cover the costs of your membership and any on-site trips, including transport up to £750.

Purchasing Education Group Membership helps support Waddesdon and allows us to continue the work that we do, from protecting rare birds in our Aviary to enhancing our learning offer.

Did you know? 

Last year schoolchildren helped us plant 80,000 tulip bulbs, by purchasing membership for 500 pupils you’ll help us to buy 686 tulip bulbs

We offer a range of whole day, onsite workshops at all key stages for education groups to enjoy. With an Education Group Membership, you’ll get free entry to Waddesdon and will only need to cover the cost of your workshop.
