Local Producer Spotlight – British Honey Producers Ltd

Each week, we feature one of our incredible local producers, that have product in our Gift and Wine shop- sharing their story, their business, and the products they recommend most. This week, we are introducing The British Honey Producers Ltd.

Have you ever wondered where our Waddesdon Manor honey comes from?

Founder Ged Marshall discovered his love for beekeeping at just 15 years old and went on to become one of the UK’s most respected bee farmers, earning the country’s first Master Bee Farmer status. His years of innovation and leadership in the industry laid the foundations for the exceptional honey we produce today.

Director Rebecca Marshall began bee farming alongside her father before gaining international experience working with bees across Australia, New Zealand, and Denmark. She is passionate about bee welfare, environmental sustainability, and educating the next generation of beekeepers through hands-on courses at the farm.

Director Kai Fagan joined the business after helping Rebecca care for hives in New Zealand in 2020. Combining his background as a tree surgeon with a natural talent for beekeeping, Kai brings valuable knowledge of botany and a fresh vision for the future of the company.

And of course, the hardest workers of all are the bees themselves – our calm and productive Buckfast honey bees, whose incredible work makes it all possible.
