The Waddesdon Archive at Windmill Hill is run by the Rothschild Foundation to preserve archival materials relating to Waddesdon Manor, the Waddesdon Estate, and some members of the Rothschild family.
These include documents, maps, drawings, and photographs and cover art, horticulture, estate and wine management, and wider historical and political subjects. We are continuing to add to the archive, but some significant gaps remain, particularly for the early years of the Rothschild family’s time at Waddesdon.
Our archive is open to researchers by appointment only.
Open: Monday – Friday, 10am to 5pm.
