£45.00 – £243.00 Buy Inky purple hues with hints of garnet. The incredible intensity on the nose boasts notes of rich blueberry juice, coffee, beef stock, blackcurrant, vanilla, cocoa and spice. The palate is full bodied, with deliciously fine tannins and exceptional length on the finish. This is a big, powerful yet refined wine; one of our favourites' here at Waddesdon. The palate feels compact and the wine has such confidence. After a few hours in a decanter this vintage feels so complete. It has energy, balance, richness, texture, weight and complexity - all in equal measure. Take a bow the team at Flechas de Los Andes - this is epic stuff. -

£185.00 Buy Deep ruby in colour. The nose produces incredibly complex notes, varying from raspberry, blackberry, bilberry, toffee, chocolate, smoke, cedar wood, vanilla cracked pepper spice. These notes lead onto the palate, with exceptionally silky mouth-feel coming from the tannins and will only soften more over time. The concentration of the fruit means the length of the wine after the first sip lingers on and on and on. Exceptional! -

The nose is rich and sweet-edged with notes of blueberry, cassis, red cherry and figs with hints of dark chocolate. The palate is lusciously textured with a long fruit-filled finish. After a few years in the bottle this beautiful wine has shed it's youthful verve, leaving an accomplished elegant feel and an altogether better sense of balance and maturity. It's hard to think of a more impressive bottle of Malbec at £23.00 -

Buy In the glass the wine is deep ruby, expressing notes of blackcurrant, cracked pepper, strawberries, smoke, vanilla and almond. On the palate the wine is punchy with concentrated yet refined silky tannins. The oak maturation adds depth and weight to the palate, whilst elevating the level of spice. Escudo Origine represents the finest offering Escudo Rojo produce and will develop nicely in the bottle for a good few years. -

£19.50 – £105.30 Buy The vineyard of Paradis Casseuil is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the classic pairing you find in almost all red Bordeaux blends. The Merlot brings juicy red fruit and the Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and body. On the nose there's delicate toasted notes with peppery red cherry and almonds. The palate is elegant and medium bodied with redcurrants, red cherry, cedar and spice. This easily accessible claret is perfect for drinking this year, but will hold in the cellar for a couple of years. Enjoy with roast chicken. -

£22.50 – £121.50 Buy This vintage exhibits a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, of which 50% is aged in French oak - the rest in stainless steel to retain freshness and purity of fruit. The nose offers an array of black fruit, earthy toasted spice and cedar. There's a freshness and crunch to the palate which will ensure this wine cellars well. However, a quick decant enables the silky plush edge to come through which allows for immediate pleasure.
