Selected for Waddesdon’s guest wines due to its quality, rarity and complexity. The aim of this wine was to try and replicate and improve on the white Rhone style blend, using Marsanne, Rousanne and Sauvignon Gris planted in the San Antonio Valley. The resulting wine was a huge success, winning a gold medal at the Medaille d’Or in Paris when tasted blind. The age behind this now has only added to the richness and complexity and it still has life left in it. Waddesdon has complete UK exclusivity on this wine.
Tasting notes
Medium deepness of apricot in colour. This wine has been left unfiltered to help boost both the aromatic complexity as well as add texture on the palate. Expect an intense nose of honeyed apricot, mandarin, blackcurrant, and fig leaf. There is also a minerlaity that underpins the whole wine, added an elegance which isn’t prevalent at first. The texture is rich, full bodied and has an enduring finish!

£17.95 – £90.00 Buy With a pale ruby-red colour, Colección Pinot Noir has pronounced aromas of wild fruits, cinnamon, white pepper, cranberry and a touch of smoke from the French oak. The texture is rich yet elegant with layers of pepper and cranberry fruit and a leathery spice driven finish. Colección Pinot Noir 2016 has a medium bodied feel, yet the intensity of flavour is certainly pronounced - which is a sign of great winemaking.
