£29.95 Buy It is reserved at first, then after a little aggravation in the glass it is clear that this is a special wine. It's ripe but never juicy, rich but never heavy. Clever winemaking indeed. Only 175 cases were made in 2017 and La Xispa offers balance, length and complexity well above its price point. A pre-fermentation cold soak and judicious oak management lend freshness and a beautiful balance. Blackberry, figs, coffee, mocha and toast on the nose with layers of gorgeously rich fruit with just the right amount of acidity, tannin and oak. Great stuff. -

£185.00 Buy Deep ruby in colour. The nose produces incredibly complex notes, varying from raspberry, blackberry, bilberry, toffee, chocolate, smoke, cedar wood, vanilla cracked pepper spice. These notes lead onto the palate, with exceptionally silky mouth-feel coming from the tannins and will only soften more over time. The concentration of the fruit means the length of the wine after the first sip lingers on and on and on. Exceptional! -
