Two Rivers Juliet Riesling 2023, Marlborough, New Zealand
£19.95 – £107.70
The brand of Two Rivers was created by Winemaker David Clouston. The name is an homage to the Wairau and Awatere rivers that fuel the ecosystem in Marlborough, New Zealand. Vineyard selection is of the upmost importance to Clouston, who believes that great terroir will produce great wines, and this can be shown in this beautiful Riesling. With a touch over 17g residual sugar, this wine classifies as off-dry, however when paired with the piercing acidity, can almost give the impression there is no sugar at all! This wine is the perfect example of a wine with impeccable balance.
Tasting notes
Aromas of fresh Kaffir lime are beautifully balanced with hints of lemon, Jasmine, hazelnuts and orange blossom. Bright and pure, with a refined grainy texture, honeysuckle, bright citrus, concentrated with a lovely balance of sweetness and mouth-watering acidity.
