Los Vascos Le Dix is the flagship wine of the renowned Chilean estate, crafted to celebrate the ten-year partnership between Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and the Colchagua Valley. Le Dix de Los Vascos originates from 75-year-old vines located in the terroir known as “El Fraile”. This elegant blend, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, showcases the vineyard’s oldest vines, delivering an opulent expression of the region. With layers of blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco, and subtle spice, Le Dix offers a velvety texture, refined tannins, and a long, harmonious finish. A true testament to precision winemaking, this wine is perfect for aging or pairing with fine cuts of beef and rich sauces.
Tasting notes
The nose is complex, with aromas of black cherry, ripe strawberry and plum, underscored by a hint of oak, with delicate notes of cedar, graphite and dark chocolate. On the palate, this great vintage is revealed in all its splendour, with soft, firm tannins and, thanks to the cool nights at Los Vascos, some acidity to accompany this balance. Without doubt one of the best vintages of the decade.
