Tasting notes
As always this vineyard is so feminine and pretty. Red fruited with pure hints of rose petal, pomegranat and balsamic nose. Silky yet grippy, this is a study in elegance and finesse with its fragrant seductive fruit and multi-faceted minerals. This has such delicious fruit on the mid-palate, gorgeous red fruits, rose, spice and some enthralling fresh mint and porcini mushroom aromas that peek through. These are perfectly framed by the caressing tannins.

£75.00 – £405.00 Buy The nose is complex yet surprisingly delicate for such a full-bodied wine, a harmony of forest berries, vanilla, leather and spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and crisp with well structured tannins, intense fruit flavours including blackberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant, vanilla and an earthy minerality, punctuated with black pepper. There’s an almost perfect balance between acidity and tannins which gives Cayas a surprisingly crisp and harmonious finish for a Syrah - this is THE example of an oaked cool climate Syrah.
