Waddesdon Rothschild Collection Piquepoul, IGP Pays d’Oc, France
£12.75 – £76.50
This brand new range of varietal wines, selected by our team at Waddesdon, represents the finest quality ‘house wines’ we have ever released. This collection of wines will replace the long-standing Baron Philippe d’Oc range – and offers an impressive level of purity, definition and varietal expression that is rarely associated with this category and price point. After a series of blind tastings our Rothschild Waddesdon range performed exceptionally, and we are incredibly proud to call these wines our own. We hope you have as much fun tasting them as we did selecting them.
Tasting notes
Harvested at night to preserve the integrity of the grape skin and help retain natural purity of aroma. This is the latest addition to our beloved Waddesdon Rothschild Collection range. Sourced from one of the coolest vineyards of the region, on the border of the Étang de Thau, this Piquepoul has enticing aromas of white flowers with intense, refreshing citrus fruits and a fine, elegant finish.

Waddesdon Rothschild Collection Pinot Noir, IGP Pays d’Oc, France
£12.75 – £72.00 Buy Sourced from a cool vineyard near Limoux which is planted on Marl from the Oligocene period. This is ideal soil for the production of great Pinot Noir. Just 20% of the wine has been aged in French oak which adds a toasty spicy depth. There's plenty of fruit and fairly muscular frame which leads to a spicy liquorice finish. This actually fairly full bodied, it's got a nice core of juicy red fruit and loads of sweet earthy spice. A powerful and confident Pinot.
