Mouton Cadet Sauvignon Blanc 2022, A.C. Bordeaux, France
£15.00 – £81.00
Baron Philippe de Rothschild first created Mouton Cadet in 1930 using fruit from Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Its safe to say the brand has developed somewhat since its introduction, and is unrivaled for the title of Bordeaux’s most iconic branded wine. Over ten wines come under the Mouton Cadet label; from Saint Emilion to Rosé ice, each one is the result of painstaking work and the precise selection of terroirs and parcels.
Tasting notes
Fresh, aromatic and invigorating. Sauvignon Blanc brings zip and freshness to the nose with citrus peel and white flowers. The fresh attack is marked by an intense expression of the citrus notes found on the nose, while the mid-palate displays excellent tension, underpinned by delicate floral touches which persist on the finish, mingled with an attractive return of citrus flavours. A reliable and well made Bordeaux Blanc.
