Flechas de Los Andes Gran Cabernet Franc 2020, Vista Flores, Argentina
£25.95 – £140.10
Named Flechas de los Andes in homage to the five arrows (Flechas) that symbolise the Rothschild family, the winery was created through the partnership of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault in their quest for a great terroir at the foot of the Andes. The vineyard, which has been cultivated since 1999, enjoys a dry climate tempered by the high altitudes of the Andes (1100m): on this unique terroir, the Malbec grape variety reigns supreme. This single varietal Cabernet Franc utilises the same benefits to give the Cabernet Franc a unique, dense albeit fresh style which we have fallen in love with.
Tasting notes
On the nose this wine expresses all the elegance of the varietal; bell pepper and roses, moulded by the minerality of the terroir and some slight oak suggestions. The mouthfeel has medium intensity and a silky texture. Elegant and delicate finish that makes it possible to enjoy the varietal typicity without overpowering oak.

Flechas de Los Andes Gran Malbec 2019, Vista Flores, Argentina
£25.95 – £140.10 Buy This is an inky and incredibly intense Malbec, characters which are evident on both the palate and nose. After aeration the nose reveals notes of blackberry liqueur, roasted coffee, vanilla, crushed flowers and minerals. The tannins are sweet yet fairly prominent, so it is advised that you give this wine an hour or two in a decanter and serve with a protein rich dish. The fruit on the palate is incredibly dense and concentrated. This is serious Malbec that demands your attention, and one that should grace the dinner table due to it's intensity and power. -

Bodegas Caro Amancaya 2021, Mendoza, Argentina

The nose is complex deep and broody with layered notes of cassis, cocoa, melted dark chocolate, salted caramel, figs with cinnamon, clove and bonfire.
