There's not a huge amount of that gamey earthy Pinot quality you get from mature Burgundy at present, this is currently all about smoky black fruit and bags of toasted spice. On the nose there's black cherry, smoky oak, toasted black pepper, hedgerow and redcurrant. The palate is juicy and rich with a generous core of red fruit and peppery spice. Drink now or cellar for seven years.
