It grabs your interest right from the moment it hits the glass; the colour is a rich golden yellow. The nose starts off with savoury notes then evolves towards jasmine, tea leaf, cedar, thyme and flowers. After some oxygen the fruit comes through in the form of buttery pear, apricot and fig. The palate has great weight and body, but it isn't overbearing, there's just the right amount of acidity to sharpen things up. After the fruit fades you'll find a touch of minerality and salinity on the finish. Take a bow the folks from Attems. This is great stuff!

The nose expresses great personality with fresh aromas of white peach, citrus peel and wildflowers as well as definite scents of thyme and toasted bread. In its structured body we find a wine with balance and complexity with a persistent finish of white pepper, avocado and walnut. Let's be clear, Italian Pinot Grigio can bring to the thought of mass produced generic insipid green fruit. Attems Pinot Grigio is on a different planet altogether. This is what Pinot Grigio can achieve when in the hands of a producer focusing on quality, not quantity.
