Let's be clear, Italian Pinot Grigio can bring to the thought of mass produced generic insipid green fruit. Attems Pinot Grigio is on a different planet altogether. £185.00 Buy Deep ruby in colour. The nose produces incredibly complex notes, varying from raspberry, blackberry, bilberry, toffee, chocolate, smoke, cedar wood, vanilla cracked pepper spice. These notes lead onto the palate, with exceptionally silky mouth-feel coming from the tannins and will only soften more over time. The concentration of the fruit means the length of the wine after the first sip lingers on and on and on. Exceptional! -

After a few years in the bottle this beautiful wine has shed it's youthful verve, leaving an accomplished elegant feel and an altogether better sense of balance and maturity. Escudo Origine represents the finest offering Escudo Rojo produce and will develop nicely in the bottle for a good few years. -
