Things to do indoors

Visit the house

If you fancy doing something inside why not visit the house. Built over a century ago, the house and setting were created to delight and surprise the small circle of Baron Ferdinand’s friends. Please note: this is a historic building and therefore doesn’t have air-conditioning.

House timed tickets required, booking advised.

Wine Cellars

Kept at a constant temperature the wine cellars are great place to keep cool and out of the sun. They were created to celebrate the association of the Rothschild family with some of the finest wines in the world. Take advantage of our free cellars talks at 11.30am and 2pm each day.

Included in your grounds ticket.

Included in your grounds ticket.

Bringing your dog

Dog walk

We welcome your furry friends in the grounds and if you decide to bring them along for your visit and the weather is warm, please be advised there is no shade on the walk from the car park to the main gardens. We do have shady areas within the grounds and plenty of water stations to keep them hydrated.
