Porcelain held a mystical appeal in the 18th century, with a Europe-wide race to try and produce the ‘white gold’ invented and perfected in China.
Come and learn about the Meissen and Sèvres manufactories and their complex and sophisticated products with Curator of Decorative Arts, Mia Jackson.
Meet at the Main Door.
Note: The tour finishes and the House closes at 4pm. We recommend you book your House timed tickets for 2pm or earlier in order to see other rooms in the House before this talk.
