Kids' drumming workshops
Fri 10 & 24 August 2018
10am-4pmStables Activity Room
Let your children make some noise this summer with our fun-filled workshop that explores African and Latin music cultures.
This jam packed workshop will introduce the children to an array of rhythms which play a large role in the African and Latin Music cultures. Once the children have grasped the rhythms, they get straight to work in putting this together into a ensemble performance piece. From here children are encouraged to compose their own piece as a way of applying their new found skill set.
This workshop is suitable for ages 6 – 11 and all abilities are welcome whether you are a complete beginner in the world of percussion or an advanced stickman!
The workshop will last from 10am until 4pm. Please bring your own packed lunch.
Please inform the team if your children require any aid with access, as the workshop will take place in the Education Room at the top of some steps.
No adults allowed! A DBS trained member of staff will be accompanying the children throughout the day.
