Two Rivers Isle of Beauty Rosé 2019, Marlborough New Zealand
£14.50
This rosé shows a great insight into the attention to detail that the winemaker David Clouston conveys in his wines. This is the most decorated rosé in New Zealand and it is easy to see why. Each of the varieties are grown and picked to make a rosé with each grape variety being given its own plot where it can really shine. It spends 10 weeks ageing in both stainless steel tanks as well as concrete eggs to help the texture. Isle of Beauty 2019 has been awarded gold medal at the New Zealand’s wine awards, the Hong Kong international, and the International rose Championship.

Tasting notes
This Mediterranean style rosé is crisp, dry and exudes notes of strawberry, cranberry, peaches, apricots, almond and wild mint finishing on rock salt. The complexity is hard to match in this style of wine, with a saline finish and a wonderful freshness to make it all the more exciting. This is one of the best rose we’ve ever tasted. Isle of Beauty is New Zealand’s most decorated rosé scooping multiple gold medals in it’s fairly short existence.
