Terra Sancta “Jackson’s Block” Pinot Noir 2016, Central Otago New Zealand
Based in Bannockburn in Central Otago, the Terra Sancta (which means Sacred Earth) team have created this amazing single block Pinot Noir. Using some of the region’s oldest vines and with an incredibly small production (350 cases produced annually) they were able to create one of the region’s finest expressions of Pinot.
The nose is driven by perfumes of violets, fresh thyme, ripe cherry and mushroom. The elegance carries onto the palate with silky tannins and great length. This pinot noir is a true reflection of the terroir. Enjoy now or cellar for up to five years.

Rimapere Pinot Noir 2017, Marlborough NZ£29.95 More info & buy Wonderfully aromatic and developed on the nose with notes of cracked black pepper, red cherry, wood smoke, earthy spice and cranberry. There's a freshness on the palate which indicates youth, yet this wine is definitely ready to drink but will evolve in the cellar. The palate is elegant and well balanced with a lovely concentration of fruit. This is only the third vintage of Pinot produced at the estate, and most definitely the best to date.
