Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Casablanca Chile
Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) acquired the Vina Los Vascos estate in 1988. This new era has witnessed significant investment in the vineyard and winery, and the resulting wines have flourished. The intuition that the vineyards of Los Vascos possessed the potential to produce fine wines has certainly been confirmed. The vast estate now covers close to 700ha and contains numerous parcels and sites allowing for the production of an array of different styles.
Fresh and clean and very fragrant with great complexity; gooseberry, elderflower, lime, white peach and sage on the nose. There’s lovely clean citrus fruit to balance the acidity and a good concentration of fruit on the finish. This is really fantastic Sauvignon Blanc, always consistent and delivers everything you could wish for in a vibrant crisp white wine.
