Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Six bottle case
Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape of Vina Los Vascos, and is the variety on which the estate has built its reputation. Acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1988, Baron Eric de Rothschild’s intuition that Los Vascos possessed the potential to produce fine wines has certainly been confirmed. The estates vineyard has increased somewhat since 1988 and now covers many plots and micro-climates enabling the production of a range of wines and styles.
The wine displays a vibrant ruby colour, with ripe blackcurrant and redcurrant fruit characters with a touch of mint on the nose. After a few years in the bottle this medium bodied Cabernet has shed its tannin leaving elegant cassis and peppery notes. Incredibly easy to drink, a great pop and pour for 2020! This Cabernet is consistent, reliable, and good value for money.
