Les Laurets 2006, AC Puisseguin Saint-Émilion
The estate dates back to 1840 and is situated on the border of Pussiguin St Emilion and Montagne. Baron Benjamin was a firm believer in the potential this estate held, so much so that in 2003 he acquired the Château and its 95ha of surrounding vineyards. Much of the vineyard is located on the limestone and clay soils which are perfect for the production of Merlot.

The colour of this wine gorgeous; a deep ruby shimmering with purple highlights. Made solely from Merlot, the nose serves up an intense blast of black cherry compote, toasty vanilla, cool blackberry, and inky cassis. The palate is really soft and rounded, but there’s bags of intensity! Decant for two hours to get the best from this little beauty.
