Domaine de Baronarques Rouge 2016, A.C. Limoux

£49.95

Domaine de Baronarques is located in the heart of Limoux in the Languedoc-Roussillon. It was acquired by Baron Philippine de Rothschild in 1998 as she saw the potential of what the site could produce. Their top cuvee is a complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. This is then given the same treatment as any grand vin in their portfolio with hand-picking the grapes, the use of new and old French oak as well as some time in the cellar.

Tasting notes

Rich and dense, this is a powerful wine. The nose is very expressive with aromas of blackcurrant, chocolate, red berries, vanilla and sweet spices. The palate is dense and fresh with incredibly silky tannin and refined structure and superb length thanks to the concentration.
