Housekeeper’s Damson Gin
This is the first release of our Housekeeper’s Damson Gin. In 1900 Mrs Boxall, the head housekeeper, was in charge of producing homemade liqueurs using fruit collected from the estate. One hundred and sixteen years later we are recreating this tradition with our first batch of Housekeepers Damson Gin. This Gin is macerated and rested with damsons from Waddesdon Estate. Crafted exclusively for Waddesdon, this small batch gin is well balanced and full of intense flavour. A great winter warmer served neat, or alternatively top up with Champagne or sparkling wine.

Intense and slightly tart, the flavour starts sweetly and finishes like old fashioned cherry drop sweets. Just as you begin to think this gin is simply sweet a wonderful freshness cuts in and cleans the palate ready for another sip. Only 180 bottles of this Damson Gin were produced. This fantastic tipple is as wonderful as it is versatile; serve neat for the ultimate winter warmer, top up with Champagne to make a ‘Damn Shame’ or alternatively serve neat and cold with summer pudding.
