Côte du Rhone ‘La Serine’ 2019 (special offer)
Domaines Andre Aubert’s vineyard in the Rhone valley covers over 40 hectares and has been family run for many years with the current generation managing the estate since 1981. This Cote-du-Rhone is a very contemporary take on the classic wine region. The wine has the region’s signature blend of Syrah and Grenache, of which the juice is then macerated and matured in stainless steel tanks to retain the fruits primary freshness. The 2019 vintage has recently been awarded a gold medal in Paris.
This is very in keeping with the 2019 vintage, full bodied and polished. Vibrant, silky red colour in the glass. The loaded and intensely juicy nose boasts aromatic notes consisting of smoky game, ripe red berries, capsicum pepper, spice and a hint of earthy mushroom. On the palate the wine is intense and full bodied, with rich and deep black fruit. Impressive stuff at this price point.
