Rothschild Claret Case
£172.80 £125.00
The Rothschild name has been synonymous with the creation of fine claret for over 160 years. The roots of all three branches of the wine producing family are located in Bordeaux. The estates of Ch. Lafite Rothschild, Ch. Mouton Rothschild and Ch. Clarke represent the flagship properties of the three branches of the family. This wonderful mixed case of claret includes representation from all three families and lends an insight into their individual ‘house’ style.

Tasting notes
Legende Bordeaux rouge 2017 – a plump contemporary claret with lovely juicy black fruit and sweet spice. Very approachable, rounded and easy to get on with. But as with all Lafite’s wines there’s a sense of class and restraint.
Chateau Clarke 2012 – The nose is gorgeously rich and classical with aromas of cassis, red cherry, leather, cedar, vanilla and cigar box. The palate is soft, and exquisitely supple, leading to a finish that oozes sheer class.
Waddesdon Pauillac 2015 – After an hour in a decanter our Waddesdon Pauillac awakens from its slumber to reveal a nose of cassis, charred vanilla, cedar, black cherry and cedar. There’s evidence of the ripeness this vintage possesses with a plump fruit-forward entry to the palate which is tapered by fine tannins and well balanced acidity

The palate is powerful yet refined, with remarkable balance for a wine of this style and price. The tannins are delicately smooth and the finish lingers on the palate. -

Wonderful Winter Whites
£77.90£56.00 Buy Coleccion Blanc 2018 - Only 2,150 bottles of this limited edition blend were produced offering a dazzlingly nose of lime blossom, apricots, honeyed peach, mineral notes and cream. The texture on the palate is tremendous; rich and weighty with piercing acidity that cleans the palate beautifully. A gold medal winner in Paris this year too! Le Merle Blanc 2018 - citrus peel and jasmine lead to lemongrass and slightly richer creamier notes from the judicious oak interaction. The palate is clean and expressive with freshness and tension balanced by richness of fruit and a delicate toasty savoury note. Baroness Nadine - Fresh citrus notes, roasted hazelnut, macadamia, charred vanilla, creamy orchard fruit and honeydew melon – a beautifully enticing and complex nose. This is a wonderful wine with a core of ripe fruit all held together by a luxurious yet judicious streak of rich oak.
