Tasting notes

Rustic, earthy, structured and complex. Let’s make no mistake about it, this vintage is built in a traditional style. If you like sweet edged new world fruit with no structure then this isn’t for you. Clarke 2006 is broad and classical with juicy tannins and bags of earthy tertiary complexity. There’s cedar, forest floor, iron filings, black cherry and cigar box on the nose with a dense full bodied palate that is crying out for a hearty dish. Decant for thirty minutes and enjoy with beef and mushroom pie!
