Baron Philippe Viognier, Pays d’Oc IGP (Six Bottle Case Special offer)
In the south of France, in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon, Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s winemakers have selected the areas with the best soil and climate for growing the Viognier grape. In the region around Limoux in particular, offering a patchwork of micro-terroirs, they have chosen the highest quality parcels and vineyards. All year round, each selected parcel is individually and permanently monitored by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild team.
This reliable and characterful Viognier possesses a pretty nose of apricot, citrus and white peach mingled with a subtle floral character. The palate has rich stone fruit, alongside a subtle almond character. This vintage has weight and texture whilst remaining clean and fresh. All of the wines in this range are matured in stainless steel which enables the retention of fresh juicy fruit without the presence of oak. A crowd pleaser with true varietal character.

Baroness Nadine 2019, Western Cape, South Africa£23.95 Buy This vintage offers ripe tropical fruits, fresh citrus notes, roasted hazelnut, macadamia, and citrus blossom . This is a wonderful wine with a core of ripe tropical fruit all held together by a luxurious yet well- judged streak of rich oak.
