Amancaya 2017, Mendoza Argentina (Six Bottle Case)
£111.00 £99.95
Bodegas Caro was formed in 1999 as a partnership between Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and Nicolas Catena to showcase the two cultures of French and Argentinian winemaking. Amancaya combines the richness of Argentina’s high altitude climate with the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the generous nature of Malbec. The resulting wine is fruit driven with plenty of juicy notes and a streak of well balanced French oak.

Gran Malbec 2013, Flechas de Los Andes, Argentina
£23.95 Buy This is an inky and incredibly intense Malbec, characters which are evident on both the palate and nose. After aeration the nose reveals notes of blackberry liqueur, roasted coffee, vanilla, crushed flowers and minerals. The tannins are sweet yet fairly prominent, so it is advised that you give this wine an hour or two in a decanter and serve with a protein rich dish. The fruit on the palate is incredibly dense and concentrated. This is serious Malbec that demands your attention, and one that should grace the dinner table - and maybe not the lunch table due to its rather generous levels of alcohol. -
Caro 2016, Mendoza Argentina
£45.00 Buy After an hour in a decanter the nose offers cassis, blueberry, cocoa and tobacco The palate is much more delicate and elegant compared to historical vintages. There's ripe yet restrained fruit with layers of sweet spice and smoke. Caro is seamless and well balanced with the most enticing array of complexity. The 2016 vintage is much lighter in alcohol than the 2014 or 2015 vintages, and offers a more accessible style. Despite this, Caro 2016 will develop well over the next decade in the cellar. -
