£75.00 Buy The 2016 harvest brought together all the key ingredients for a fabulous vintage. DBR Lafite have produced a rich yet precise Pauillac, similar in style to the 1990 vintage. Lafite rarely does exuberance, true to form the aroma needs coaxing from the glass. After a few minutes there's cool blackberry coulis, warm slate, fresh tobacco, cedar, violets and graphite. The palate is compact and concentrated with fine tannins. You can feel the quality, but it is slightly reserved in the mid-palate. Whilst it offers very enjoyable drinking you can't help feel its best days lay ahead. It is very 'Lafite' in style and typical of the vintage. Patience will be rewarded. -

The 2010 vintage was considered one of the greatest thanks to warm days and cool nights, and whilst Ch. Peyre Lebade 2010 shows very well now it does possess the ability to cellar for a few years. -
