There's smoky fruit towards the finish with suave tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. This is juicy and multi-layered, and despite the sheer power there's a degree of elegance too. Apaltagua Grial 2008 picked up a gold medal at the Berlin Wine trophy awards and was given 92 points by Wine Enthusiast magazine. Only 608 cases of this brilliant wine were produced in 2008.
