This is the seventh year of opening the East Wing of the Manor at Christmas and the first year to open between Christmas and New Year. We have sought inspiration from a country and city where one of the five founding brothers of the Rothschild dynasty made his fortune. Identifying the country and city will be part of the visitors experience. There will be plenty of clues woven into the beautiful decorations. For the children they will have the added advantage of recognising a number of very well known stories. Visiting Waddesdon Manor at Christmas time is a very special experience and we hope that we can bring a little hint of a European Christmas to the Vale of Aylesbury.
Children can write a letter to Father Christmas and post them on the walls of the Power House ready for Christmas Eve, or say hello to Father Christmas as he walks around the Gardens during weekends in December.
Why not attend one of the many exciting events we have taking place, including a Christmas Fair and a Christmas Food Market.
